a note from the director:

“Kate Hodge is a longtime friend, and I wrote the character of Lou especially for her. In real life, she's a badass with a surprising vulnerabilty- so Lou became sort of the opposite- a vulnerable character that turns out to be a badass. It helps that she's an incredible actress, an absolute joy to be around, and she's unbelievably hot. Also, I knew I needed to put a chainsaw in the story as an homage to her first film, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III."
