Pursued by a mysterious man and his two henchmen, an injured woman with a dangerous past searches for a place to hide and survive. Small-town sheriff Ed Derby joins the pursuit, leading to lone woodsman Osborne Fergus, who just wants to be left alone.

 

 

The story unfolds with brief glimpses of these peculiar characters and the different paths they follow through the vast forest down to Osborne's house. After nursing Lou (Kate Hodge) back to health, Osborne (Solomon Shiv) struggles with keeping his unwanted house guest safe, knowing her time there will be short-lived. Lou begins to find comfort and safety in her new surroundings, and in her unlikely savior. With his two henchman that speak only of imaginary worlds, a strange man called Locklin will stop at nothing to find her. Sheriff Ed Derby tries to make sense of what happened in the woods while reconciling himself with own past, including the one he shares with Osborne.

 

 

Each new visitor brings Lou's dangerous past to Osborne's house, where their fate is ultimately decided on one very dark night.
